Bank financial position score methodology

This page explains how VRAnalytics evaluates the financial condition of Ukrainian banks and produces comparable scores used across BCG Matrix, NCF statistics, and bank reports.

The scoring framework combines balance-sheet strength, income quality, liquidity, and capital adequacy signals into a structured assessment of financial position. Scores are designed to help analysts compare banks over time and identify relative strengths or deterioration — they are not a credit rating or investment recommendation.

Key ideas covered in the methodology document:

  • Selection of financial indicators from bank reporting statements
  • Normalization and relative ranking across the banking sector
  • Interpretation of score bands for financial condition monitoring
  • Limitations when using scores for research or risk screening
